Agency (Bengaluru): Recognizing the middle class as the backbone of India’s economy, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has outlined a comprehensive vision to support their aspirations in its “Modi Ki Guarantee for Middle-Class Parivar Jan” as part of its election manifesto.
Key among the promises is facilitating home ownership for middle-class families through a range of measures such as reducing construction and registration costs, enabling automatic approvals for standard housing designs, and promoting mixed-use housing through the strengthened RERA Act.
The manifesto also pledges to transform India into a global hub for high-quality services, including tourism, to generate diverse, high-value employment opportunities nationwide, building upon the success of India’s thriving start-up ecosystem.
To ensure the health and well-being of middle-class families, the BJP commits to expanding the network of AIIMS and Ayushman Arogya Mandir, increasing the number of medical colleges, and providing subsidized medicines through Jan Aushadhi Kendras. The party also aims to elevate the quality of higher education through initiatives like increasing the number of IITs, IIMs, AIIMS and upgrading existing universities to global standards.
Enhancing urban infrastructure is another focal point, with plans to improve road networks, boost rail and metro connectivity, develop EV charging infrastructure, expand telecom networks with 5G and 6G technology, and create sustainable, people-friendly cities with ample green spaces.
