New Delhi (Agency): The Amaravati Meteorological Centre has issued a forecast for heavy rainfall in certain areas of Andhra Pradesh and Yanam in the coming days. According to the meteorological department, isolated places in north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam are expected to experience heavy rainfall from July 17 to July 21.
Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are predicted in isolated areas of north coastal parts of the state, Yanam (a part of the Union Territory of Puducherry), and south coastal Andhra Pradesh during the same period.
The meteorological officials have attributed these weather patterns to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over the Northwest Bay of Bengal within the next 48 hours. This weather system is expected to bring significant rainfall to the mentioned regions.
Currently, a monsoon trough is passing through various areas such as Bikaner, Sikar, Orai, Sidhi, Ambikapur, and Balasore. It extends up to 1.5 kilometers above mean sea level. Meanwhile, the low pressure over west Jharkhand, along with adjoining north Chhattisgarh and north interior Odisha, has weakened.
However, a cyclonic circulation associated with this weather system is now located over south Jharkhand and neighboring areas, extending up to 7.6 kilometers above mean sea level and tilting in the southwest direction.
As these weather conditions develop, residents in the affected regions are advised to stay updated on the latest forecasts and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
