New Delhi (Agency): The arms license of Vikas Kishore, son of Union Minister Kaushal Kishore, has been cancelled by Surya Pal Gangwar, the District Magistrate of Lucknow. The decision comes after the police reported that a revolver registered in Vikas Kishore’s name was allegedly used in a killing.
On September 1, a 30-year-old man named Vinay Srivastav was shot dead at the house of Union Minister Kaushal Kishore. The weapon supposedly used was a licensed revolver belonging to Vikas Kishore, who is the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs. Vikas was in Delhi at the time of the incident. Three individuals—Ajay Rawat, Ankit Verma, and Shamim alias Baba—were arrested related to the event on the same day.
After the occurrence, the police filed an FIR (First Information Report) against Vikas Kishore under section 30 of the Arms Act, which deals with “punishment for contravention of license or rule.” The police then sent a report to the district magistrate, suggesting that Vikas Kishore’s arms license should be cancelled.
The cancelation of the arms license is a significant step, as it indicates the severity of the allegations against Vikas Kishore and the immediate action taken by administrative officials. It also highlights the legal challenges that even high-profile families can face when involved in criminal activities. This incident is currently under investigation, and the cancellation of the arms license may have far-reaching implications for both Vikas Kishore and his family.
