Agency(Telangana): Telangana’s Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy issued a stark warning against any attempts to destabilize his democratically elected government, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to the welfare of the people. In a powerful address during a Congress rally in Mahabubnagar, he conveyed a strong message to detractors, invoking the fierce loyalty of his supporters and the democratic sanctity of his government.
Reddy also touched upon his recent interactions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting his appeal for federal support towards the state’s advancement. He openly declared his readiness to challenge Modi should the central government fall short in disbursing necessary funds to Telangana.
In what appeared to be a veiled criticism of BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Reddy showcased his political journey from the Nallamala forest region to displacing Rao from Pragati Bhavan, his official residence-cum-camp office in Hyderabad. He expressed dismay over speculations of his government’s premature downfall, questioning the fairness of such destabilizing discourse given the precedents of prolonged tenures by Modi and Rao in their respective offices.
The Chief Minister defended his decision to present a memorandum to PM Modi, citing it as a fulfillment of his duties and an adherence to cultural norms of respecting guests. He also reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to fulfilling electoral promises, including free bus travel for women and free electricity up to 200 units, showcasing his commitment to progressive governance.
Through his statements, Reddy has underscored a defiant stance against political adversaries, asserting the legitimacy and stability of his government while advocating for collaborative progress with the central government.
