New Delhi (Agency): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is gearing up for the second phase of his “Bharat Jodo Yatra”. This leg will start in the western state of Gujarat and stretch up to the northeastern state of Meghalaya.
Maharashtra Congress leader Nana Patole, in his recent interaction with the press, affirmed this development. He mentioned that alongside Gandhi’s yatra, party leaders in Maharashtra would be organizing a parallel march. As he put it, “The second leg of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra to begin from Gujarat to Meghalaya.”
The yatra will witness the participation of other eminent Congress figures. They will guide the march in various sections of Gujarat.
The “Bharat Jodo Yatra” isn’t a new initiative. Previously, Rahul Gandhi undertook an extensive journey of close to 4,000 km during the first phase. This journey commenced in Kanyakumari in the south and culminated in Kashmir in the north. Initiated on September 7 of the previous year, the yatra traversed a vast stretch covering 3,970 km across 12 states and two Union territories. This significant endeavor spanned over 130 days, concluding in Srinagar on January 30.
The specifics about the route for this upcoming journey, including the exact dates, have not been disclosed yet. What remains consistent is the spirit of unity and connectivity the yatra embodies.
