Agency(Rajasthan): In a sharp critique of the opposition INDIA bloc, BJP National President JP Nadda, during an election rally in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar, characterized the alliance as fundamentally dynastic and riddled with corruption. Nadda’s remarks underscored the BJP’s narrative against the coalition, dubbing it a “Bhrastachar Bachao Alliance” (save corruption alliance), with familial ties dominating party leadership roles and corruption scandals prevalent.
Highlighting the legal troubles of prominent opposition figures, including Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, P. Chidambaram, AAP’s Sanjay Singh, Arvind Kejriwal, and Manish Sisodia, Nadda pointed to the dichotomy within the INDIA bloc, with half of its leaders facing incarceration and the rest out on bail. This, according to Nadda, evidences the alliance’s detachment from national interests, prioritizing familial and party preservation over countrywide progress.
Contrastingly, Nadda hailed the BJP’s governance model under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, emphasizing initiatives aimed at alleviating poverty, empowering the underprivileged, and driving development. He lauded Modi’s efforts in delivering a corruption-free, development-oriented government that has expedited India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.
Citing significant infrastructural and welfare achievements, including rural electrification, construction of paved roads in villages, provision of free rations to 80 crore people, and health insurance coverage under Ayushman Bharat, Nadda painted a picture of transformative progress since 2014. These accomplishments, he argued, reflect the BJP’s dedication to inclusive development and societal upliftment, setting a stark contrast to the opposition’s governance ethos.
With Rajasthan’s Lok Sabha elections set to unfold in two phases on April 19 and 26, Nadda’s statements aim to bolster the BJP’s electoral appeal by emphasizing its governance record and critiquing the opposition’s alleged dynastic and corrupt practices. This strategic positioning seeks to influence voter sentiment and reinforce the BJP’s vision for India’s future.
