New Delhi,(Aryavarth) In a series of tweets targeted at Bihar and its residents, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Bihar prefers “Sushasan” or good governance, while particularly crediting the youth and women of the state for the NDA’s “continued win”. He also etched his vision of a “self-reliant Bihar”.
“Recently, I had the opportunity to meet my brothers and sisters of Bihar and seek their blessings. From the first rally in Sasaram to the last rally in Saharsa, the public gave a lot of love as usual. As a public servant, touching the land of Bihar makes me more committed to public service,” he announced on Twitter.
He added that since Bihar has always considered the values of democracy supreme, the people of the state prefer the politics of good governance.
“From political consciousness to social brainstorming, from Teej festival to cuisines, Bihar is amazing. This is the life of Bihar. This is the foundation of self-sufficient Bihar,” he tweeted.
Modi reached out to the youth and women of the state, which he did through his rally stops. He said that he saw a commonality in all NDA rallies in Bihar – increased participation of youth and women power.
He stressed the Centre’s development schemes like Jan Dhan, Mudra Loan Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Ujjwala and Jal Jeevan Mission.
Modi also said that only the NDA can provide new opportunities of “convenience, security, employment and self-employment” to the youth of Bihar. He promised new employment opportunities in Bihar. “Rs 1 lakh crore are being given to Bihar under Mudra Yojana and Stand Up India Scheme,” he said.
He claimed that no one has “ever done” as much as the NDA has done and is doing for farmers. He cited mega food parks, modern cold chains, agro-processing clusters as examples which he claimed will provide modern agricultural infrastructure to Bihar.
Associating his ‘vocal for local’ call with Bihar and its people, Modi tweeted, “Every Bihari has always been vocal for local. The NDA is committed to taking this identity nationally and internationally.”
The Prime Minister, in his series of 10 tweets on the state where the third phase of election is scheduled shortly, reminded about the central scheme that gave free ration to the poor, during and after the nationwide coronavirus lockdown.
“The biggest enemy of development is corruption. It snatches away the rights of the poor,” Modi added while sketching his idea of ‘Atma Nirbhar Bihar’.
“In self-reliant Bihar, our goal is to maintain the rule of law, our aim is welfare of the poor, our mission is opportunity to youth, protection of women, our mantra is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas aur Sabka Vishwas’.”
The third and last phase of the Bihar election is scheduled on November 7 and the results will be out on November 10. The BJP-JDU-led NDA alliance is trying hard to retain power while the RJD-Congress-led ‘Mahagathbandhan’ is seeking to oust it.
