New Delhi (Agency): As the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is preparing for its meeting, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) humorously criticises the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On Tuesday, AAP claimed that BJP’s coalition partners were assembled by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
BJP’s president J P Nadda stated on Monday that 38 parties confirmed they would participate in the NDA meeting. He described the unity attempts by opposition leaders as a “selfish” effort to protect themselves from legal consequences in corruption cases worth over Rs 20 lakh crore.
The meeting of the NDA will take place later in the day.
Raghav Chadha, an AAP Rajya Sabha member and national spokesperson, mocked the NDA in a tweet. He wrote, “Thirty-eight party NDA. Brought to you by ED.”
This NDA meeting is happening at the same time as a critical meeting of 26 opposition parties, including the Congress, JD (U), AAP, TMC, NCP, SP, and DMK. This meeting is taking place in Bengaluru to devise a joint plan to defeat the BJP in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Delhi’s Chief Minister and AAP’s national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, is attending the meeting in the capital of Karnataka. He is accompanied by Chadha and AAP Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh.
