Agency(Bengaluru): A devastating occurrence was reported from Bengaluru’s J.P. Nagar III stage on March 20, where a 48-year-old woman, identified as Sukanya, and her 28-year-old twin sons, Nischith and Nikhith, were found deceased under enigmatic conditions within their residence. The discovery of their bodies, each bearing burn injuries, has left the community in shock, with the exact cause of their deaths still undetermined.
Earlier on the day of the tragedy, Sukanya had been seen performing routine tasks, including delivering a glass of milk and a newspaper to her husband, Jayananda, who has been ailing and confined to bed for several days. Intriguingly, Jayananda’s room was found securely locked from the outside at the time the bodies were discovered.
The unsettling discovery was made after neighbors observed smoke emanating from the family’s home and promptly notified the authorities. Initial investigations by the police revealed that the family had been grappling with severe financial difficulties. Jayananda, who owned a manufacturing business, suffered substantial losses during the COVID-19 pandemic, exacerbating the family’s economic woes. Consequently, Sukanya took up private tutoring in an effort to sustain her family, amidst their struggle to manage their debts and even to afford their rent.
Further complicating the family’s situation, Nischith, who faced physical challenges, was employed in a remote working arrangement, while his brother Nikhith had recently left his job at a private company four months prior to the incident.
Authorities are currently awaiting the results of the post-mortem examination to determine the precise cause of death, as the community mourns this tragic loss and seeks answers to the many questions surrounding these untimely deaths.
