Agency (New Delhi): The NDA led by the BJP is heading towards a third consecutive term, but with significantly fewer seats than anticipated based on the exit polls. The ruling NDA, which had campaigned with the slogan “abki baar, 400-paar,” is falling well short of the projected target and is currently hovering around the 300-seat mark. The INDIA bloc has surpassed the expectations of pollsters and is presenting a formidable challenge. The opposition alliance is currently leading in more than 230 seats, with tight competition in key states such as Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. One of the most surprising developments is the INDIA bloc’s lead in Uttar Pradesh, where Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party is ahead of the NDA. Similarly, in Maharashtra, the INDIA alliance is engaged in a close contest with the NDA. Meanwhile, the NDA is demonstrating a strong performance in the Odisha and Andhra Pradesh assemblies. Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP has exceeded the halfway mark in trends, while the BJP holds a comfortable lead over BJD in Odisha.
