Surendra Ram Arrested for Raping 8 yr old Girl

New Delhi (Agency): In a disturbing incident, a 45-year-old man, identified as Surendra Ram, has been apprehended for allegedly attempting to rape an eight-year-old girl in a village in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The arrest came after the girl’s father lodged a complaint against Ram, accusing him of the heinous act that occurred on Sunday evening. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mohd Faheem Qureshi, confirmed the arrest and stated that an FIR has been filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The authorities are taking swift action to ensure justice for the young victim.
