Bengaluru, Nelamangala; In a significant move towards self-sustainable energy, Sri Paripoorna Sanathana Ayurveda Medical College Hospital & Research Centre has successfully installed a state-of-the-art 75 kilowatt (kW) solar power system on its campus, generating 300 units every day.
This initiative aligns with the institution’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
This will not only meet the college’s energy needs but also reduce its carbon footprint. The installation is part of Founder Chairman Pujya Swamiji, Prof. Dr. A.V. Srinivasan’s broader vision to integrate green practices within its operations, ensuring a healthier environment for future generations.
The unwavering commitment and proactive efforts of trustees Shri. K.S. Rama Prasad and Smt. Sudha Rama Prasad were instrumental in the successful installation of the solar power system.
The inauguration was done by programme director VVSN Rao in the presence of SPSAMC, H&RC Director Prashant Goenka, Dean Dr. Srinivasa D.H., Principal Dr. . Veerayyaswamy Charanthimath, Finance Head W Eric Peterson, Dr. Prakruthi G, Dr. Aiswariya V R, Adithya, Siddalingaswamy B, and Tejas B R.
Looking ahead, Sri Paripoorna Sanathana Ayurveda Medical College Hospital & Research Centre plans to expand its green initiatives. The implementation of rainwater harvesting systems and the creation of organic gardens on campus are also in full swing. These initiatives aim to further enhance sustainable practices in the daily lives of students, staff, and patients.
