Agency(Rajasthan):Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at a rally in Rajasthan, leveled severe accusations against the Congress regarding national security and governance. He suggested that had Congress remained in power, hostile actions such as stone pelting in Jammu and Kashmir and the beheading of Indian soldiers would have persisted.
“In 2014, you chose Modi to lead in Delhi, leading to unprecedented national decisions. However, if Congress were ruling, our security forces in Jammu and Kashmir would still face stone pelting, and our enemies would continue to behead our soldiers,” Modi stated, according to ANI. He also claimed that the Congress would have failed to implement the ‘One Rank One Pension’ scheme and suggested that bomb blasts would be frequent.
Modi also criticized the Congress for alleged corruption and poor law enforcement, particularly in Rajasthan, claiming the state led in crimes against women under Congress governance. He accused the party of not only tolerating corruption but also ingraining it as a part of Rajasthan’s identity.
Highlighting the dangers of a divided nation, Modi warned that such divisions allow enemies to take advantage and stressed the importance of unity and vigilance in Rajasthan. He praised the achievements of a stable and honest government over the past decade in fostering national development.
Additionally, Modi accused Congress of disregarding the Constitution and attempting to undermine the rights of backward communities by favoring Muslims. “Congress has always engaged in appeasement and vote bank politics. They attempted to provide Muslim reservations by curtailing SC/ST quotas in Andhra Pradesh,” Modi charged, referencing legal challenges that thwarted these efforts.
These statements intensify the ongoing political confrontation between BJP and Congress as they vie for influence in Rajasthan and beyond, with Modi positioning his administration as a preferable alternative to Congress’s policies and governance approach.
