Agency(New Delhi): In a show of party unity and future-oriented strategy, DK MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has thrown his support behind the candidacy of Capt Brijesh Chowta, underscoring the party’s intention to bring fresh faces to the forefront and thereby widen its activities and influence. Kateel’s endorsement came during a recent statement where he expressed confidence in Chowta’s potential to secure a victory margin exceeding three lakh votes, further advocating for party workers to rally towards re-electing Narendra Modi as Prime Minister.
Kateel, reflecting on his 15-year tenure serving the constituency, expressed gratitude towards party seniors for their support and the opportunities provided to him, asserting his commitment to the party’s cause without personal expectations. His tenure, marked by the initiation of projects valued at approximately Rs 1 lakh crore during Modi’s leadership, stands as a testament to his dedication and the trust placed in him by both the BJP and Sangh leadership.
Highlighting his unique position in the constituency’s political history, Kateel noted his 15-year service as an unprecedented duration, surpassing the tenures of predecessors Dhananjay Kumar and B Janardhan Poojary. This distinction, according to Kateel, underscores the profound impact and continuity of service he has provided to the community.
Addressing inquiries regarding the exclusion of senior leaders from ticket allocations, Kateel pointed to the decision-making prerogatives of the national leadership, suggesting that such choices are made in consideration of various factors and potentially aimed at strengthening party organization.
