Agency(New Delhi): In Patna, Bihar, Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, announced decisive actions against ‘land mafias’ under the NDA government. A committee is to be established to strictly deal with those usurping lands from the underprivileged, aiming to incarcerate such offenders. Shah made these remarks during his first visit to Bihar following the formation of the NDA-led government, speaking to a crowd comprising members of the Other Backward Class (OBC) and Economically Backward Class (EBC) in Paliganj, near Patna.
Shah underscored the BJP’s dual-government (‘double engine sarkar’) commitment to rectifying the menace posed by land mafias, metaphorically stating they would be disciplined “by hanging them upside down.” This announcement comes as a reassurance of the BJP’s resolve to enhance governance and safeguard the rights of the poor.
During the assembly, Shah reminisced about the electoral successes BJP enjoyed in Bihar, attributing the victories to the populace’s support. He expressed gratitude towards the voters for their overwhelming favor in past elections and conveyed his anticipation for a complete victory in the forthcoming 2024 elections. Shah praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inaugurating and laying down projects worth over Rs 2 lakh crore nationwide, acknowledging Modi’s tribute to former Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur, a revered figure in Bihar’s political history.
Shah criticized Lalu Prasad Yadav and the Congress party for their alleged neglect of Bihar’s needs and the welfare of backward classes. He contrasted this with the BJP’s focus on developmental projects and initiatives aimed at uplifting the backward classes over the past decade. Shah vehemently criticized the Congress and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family-centric politics, questioning their commitment to public welfare.
The Union Minister also lauded the ‘double engine government’s’ reformation in Bihar, affirming the BJP’s pledge to reform land mafia activities. Amit Shah’s visit signifies a boost for the BJP in Bihar, specifically targeting five Lok Sabha seats. The event, organized by the Bihar BJP OBC Morcha, marks a crucial moment in Bihar’s political landscape, emphasizing the NDA government’s dedication to rectifying injustices and fostering an environment conducive to growth and equity.
