Agency (New Delhi): The AAP has called out the BJP over its association with Sarath Chandra Reddy, an approver in the Delhi excise policy case, who allegedly donated around Rs 55 crore to the BJP through electoral bonds. Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj criticized the BJP’s silence on this matter, highlighting the lack of response from prominent BJP leaders such as Anurag Thakur, Smriti Irani, Manoj Tiwari, and Virendra Sachdeva.
Bharadwaj posed three questions to the BJP regarding their relationship with Reddy, the substantial donations received, and the lack of transparency in disclosing these transactions.
He emphasized that electoral bonds are not received anonymously and accused individuals must have handed them over in person, raising suspicions about potential BJP involvement. The AAP urged the Enforcement Directorate to investigate the matter and questioned why the BJP failed to disclose these transactions to relevant authorities and the public if they had nothing to hide.
