Agency(New Delhi): During a virtual interaction with BJP workers from West Bengal via the NaMo app, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reinforced his steadfast commitment to combating corruption, stating that those involved in corrupt practices are left with only two options: “jail or bail.” This dialogue underscores Modi’s unwavering stance against corruption and his readiness to take decisive action.
Modi highlighted the challenges BJP workers face in West Bengal, particularly pointing out the violent tactics allegedly employed by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) to thwart BJP activities. Despite these adversities, he praised the resilience of BJP workers who, according to him, have fearlessly held their ground.
Addressing the issue of electoral violence in West Bengal, the Prime Minister identified it as the primary challenge in the region’s elections. He reassured that the Election Commission has put security measures in place to ensure the safety of voters and emphasized the importance of reaching out to every voter to encourage them to cast their votes without fear.
The Prime Minister also accused the TMC of attempting to obstruct BJP workers by any means necessary, especially in the lead-up to elections. Despite such obstacles, Modi expressed confidence in the BJP’s potential to secure more seats in the upcoming elections, reflecting a strong belief in the party’s grassroots efforts and the effectiveness of their campaign against corruption and electoral violence.
