The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has been the organizing body behind the Youth Parliament Competitions for Universities/Colleges for over two decades. The 16th iteration of the competition witnessed participation from 36 educational institutions across India.
This initiative aims to instill democratic values such as self-discipline, respect for differing opinions, and effective public speaking among the youth. It also serves as an educational platform, introducing students to parliamentary practices, fostering leadership skills, and enhancing oratory abilities.
The award ceremony is not only a celebration of the winners but also a testament to the Ministry’s commitment to promoting an understanding of the parliamentary system among young citizens, which is integral to the strengthening of Indian democracy.
