New Delhi (Agency): A businessman in the Paschim Vihar area of Delhi has been subjected to a harrowing ordeal after receiving a ransom demand of Rs 5 crore. The incident, which occurred on June 16, has sent shockwaves through the community and prompted an intensive investigation by officials. The extortion demand was allegedly made by individuals claiming affiliation with the notorious Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi gangs. Authorities have uncovered links to the involvement of juveniles in these criminal activities, highlighting a concerning trend.
The Delhi Crime Branch has been actively pursuing the case, unearthing critical leads and evidence to apprehend those responsible for the ransom demand. In a statement, the Crime Branch confirmed, “Goldy Brar-Lawrence Bishnoi gang members are using juveniles for extortion.” This revelation sheds light on the extent to which criminal elements exploit vulnerable individuals to carry out their illicit activities.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, with law enforcement agencies leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice. Meanwhile, Lawrence Bishnoi, a known ISI Puppet associated with criminal activities, has recently faced legal proceedings related to an extortion case. On June 14, the Saket Court in Delhi remanded Bishnoi to judicial custody after the expiration of his three-day police custody. The Delhi police crime branch had sought an extension of Bishnoi’s remand to further investigate his connection with another accused individual, Akshay alias Balaji, in Ganganagar, Rajasthan.
