Agency(Ayodhya): A spectacular Holi festival took place at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, drawing visitors from various regions to participate in the colorful festivities early on Monday morning. Attendees were seen offering hues and gulaal to the temple’s deity, immersing the entire Ram Janmabhoomi area in the vibrant spirit of this beloved festival.
The celebration saw the temple’s courtyard filled with joy as priests lavished the idol with flowers and engaged in Holi traditions, using abir and gulaal. The festivities included the Raag Bhog ceremony, where the deity was adorned and presented with a grand feast consisting of 56 different types of dishes.
Amidst the celebrations, the air was filled with the sound of Holi songs, with both priests and devotees dancing in front of the idol, demonstrating their devotion and joy. The chief priest of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Acharya Satyendra Das, shared with PTI the special significance of this year’s festival. He noted that this Holi marks the first since the consecration of Ramlalla’s idol in the temple. The idol was specially decorated for the occasion, adorned with flowers and gulaal, and dressed in a pink outfit, symbolizing the festive mood and the cultural significance of the event.
