Agency(New Delhi): The Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, is set to organize “PLI Perspectives,” a groundbreaking stakeholder meeting under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Schemes. Scheduled for February 3, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the event aims to unify all stakeholders, fostering ownership and encouraging the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and successful practices to enhance the implementation of PLI Schemes.
This meeting will provide an exclusive platform for industry leaders, experts, and government officials to engage in meaningful discussions and share insights on the implications and progress of the PLI Schemes. It will also facilitate cross-learning among the 14 PLI schemes currently in operation.
Expected to feature more than 1200 stakeholders from across the country, this event marks the first of its kind, encompassing all 14 PLI schemes. Participants include Hon’ble Ministers overseeing the PLI scheme, who will share their thoughts and insights, contributing to the development of a robust manufacturing ecosystem in India.
The meeting will highlight the achievements and success stories under the PLI schemes, which have already attracted investments over Rs. 1 lakh crore and generated production/sales exceeding Rs. 8.7 lakh crore. Notably, these schemes have significantly boosted exports by over Rs. 3.4 lakh crore and created a considerable number of direct and indirect employment opportunities. The PLI scheme has been instrumental in creating global champions, and the meeting is expected to set new targets for future achievements under all PLI Schemes.
