New Delhi (Agency): A startling event occurred in Bengaluru on Wednesday when a woman and her young son were attacked by an Uber driver. This happened because the woman mistakenly got into a cab she hadn’t booked. The attack took place in the Bhoganahalli area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Bellandur police station.
Upon being informed of the incident, the police promptly started their investigation. They are actively searching for the accused driver. They have already viewed the CCTV footage from the location to get more evidence. Ajay Agarwal, the husband of the woman who faced the attack, publicly voiced his anger about the event on social media.
On Wednesday morning, the woman had arranged for a cab from her apartment complex. She needed to take her son to the hospital. However, when she descended from her apartment, she saw an Uber car and entered it, not realizing it wasn’t the one she had scheduled.
When the woman noticed her mistake, she tried to leave the vehicle. But instead of allowing her to go, the driver began to move the car. Shortly after, when the driver halted the vehicle, he suddenly started attacking the woman right within the apartment complex’s grounds.
Making matters even worse, the driver did not stop at just assaulting the woman. When her son tried to help his mother, the driver attacked the boy too. Thankfully, the security camera of the apartment captured the entire incident.
Alerted by the commotion, the apartment residents rushed to help. They managed to intervene and rescue the woman and her son from further harm. The residents also made sure to inform the police about what had transpired.
Following their arrival, the police initiated their investigation and have collected the CCTV footage for further analysis. As the case is still under investigation, more information and details about the incident are awaited.
