Bengaluru: Vijai Sambhav Foundation recently organised a free eye screening camp at Vishwa Sai Nursing College, Electronic City, where eyeglasses were distributed to all 44 students. During the event, foundation president Ravi Rajhans emphasised three social initiatives: free eyeglass distribution, cyber safety, and sustainability. His address highlighted the importance of these initiatives for societal well-being, aiming to improve health, promote safety, and encourage environmental responsibility.
Through ongoing programs, the Vijai Sambhav Foundation has extended eyeglass distribution efforts to rural areas and government schools around Bangalore, focusing on those who cannot afford eye care. Ravi Rajhans shared that improving vision care can enhance life quality for those facing sight-related challenges.
Recognising the importance of cyber safety in today’s digital age, Ravi Rajhans also discussed the rising risks of cybercrime. The Foundation has launched awareness campaigns, especially for children and the elderly, to ensure safe digital engagement. Future plans include collaborating with cybersecurity experts to organise workshops, helping people stay alert to online threats.
To support sustainability, Ravi Rajhans initiated a drive encouraging eco-friendly practices, such as tree planting and resource reuse. The Foundation also promoted the plastic-free movement by distributing 50 cotton bags, raising awareness about reducing plastic usage.
According to Ravi Rajhans, these initiatives can significantly enhance quality of life for all. The event’s success was supported by Dr. Sophia, the college principal, and foundation members Akshay and Vijay Shankar Gupta. The Foundation remains committed to these initiatives to benefit the community.
