Bengaluru: Samachar Parivartan and Shaurya Sahayak Foundation Trust, in association with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Bangalore zone, successfully organised an awareness rally on December 28, Saturday, to combat drug abuse and promote a healthy lifestyle.
The rally, which marched for 5 kilometres, was flagged off by Sh. Shailendra Kumar Mishra, Zonal Director NCB, under whose able guidance the event was organised. Additional Director NCB, Sh. Devananda, witnessed the rally, demonstrating the agency’s commitment to combating drug trafficking and promoting awareness.
This initiative is part of the Government of India’s efforts to achieve a drug-free India by 2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Ministry of Home Affairs has adopted a ‘Zero Tolerance Policy’ against drug trafficking, and this rally is a step towards realising that goal.
Samachar Parivartan, Shaurya Sahayak Foundation Trust, and NCB, Bangalore zone, aim to continue organising such awareness drives to educate the public about the dangers of drug abuse and promote a healthy lifestyle.
