Morena (Agency): A man has been accused of killing his daughter and her lover before disposing of their bodies in the Chambal River in Morena district, Madhya Pradesh, according to the police. The incident came to light after the accused confessed to the crime. A police team, along with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and divers, has been deployed to recover the bodies from the river.
SDPO Parimal Singh Mehra, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Ambah, stated that Rajpal Tomar, a resident of Ratan Basai village, reported his daughter missing on June 3. The family members of the deceased youth, a resident of Pura Barbai village, also filed a missing person’s complaint on June 4. The police launched a search operation based on their complaints. Due to the similar age group and timing of the disappearances, the police grew suspicious and obtained call details of the two individuals.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the victims were acquainted with each other and were in constant contact. Rajpal Tomar, the father of the girl, confessed to the crime during questioning. He revealed that he had killed his daughter and her lover before disposing of their bodies in the river. The police stated that the alleged motive behind the incident was the victims’ relationship, which was against the wishes of the girl’s family, as both belonged to the Tomar community.
The police are currently investigating the case and attempting to determine the involvement of other individuals in the incident. However, the murder cannot be conclusively established until the bodies are recovered. The police continue to actively pursue the matter.
