London [UK], December 15: Zee Media Corporation organised the Global Innovation & Leadership Summit 2025 in the United Kingdom, bringing together policymakers, business leaders and entrepreneurs to deepen India–UK economic collaboration. The summit opened with a keynote address by Santosh Kumar, Editor, Zee Bharat, who highlighted the evolving global economic landscape and the growing strategic importance of India–UK relations.
In his address, Santosh Kumar noted that India’s rise as the world’s fourth-largest economy, alongside the United Kingdom’s position as the sixth-largest, marks a new phase of bilateral cooperation driven by enterprise, innovation and long-term partnerships.
The summit saw participation from diverse sectors, including MSMEs, engineering, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, real estate, investment, hospitality and social development, reflecting India’s expanding economic footprint and the broad-based nature of its growth.
A key highlight was the award felicitation ceremony held at the House of Lords, symbolising strong parliamentary and institutional ties between the two countries. The ceremony was attended by prominent members of the UK Parliament, including Lord Raminder Ranger, Baroness Sandip Verma and Lord Krish Kumar Sureshchandra Raval, OBE, underscoring strong support for India’s leadership-driven and enterprise-led growth story.
Special focus was placed on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), recognised as the backbone of India’s economy and a major contributor to GDP, employment and exports. Discussions also emphasised the role of the real estate sector in urban development, infrastructure growth and cross-border investment opportunities.
Further interactions were held at Courthouse Soho in London, facilitating in-depth engagement between Indian and UK entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders. These sessions explored opportunities in MSMEs, real estate, healthcare and manufacturing, along with pathways for sustainable growth and global market integration.
Zee Media’s international news channel WION conducted exclusive interviews with key global voices, including Lord Karan Bilimoria, Member of the House of Lords and Founding Chairman of the UK India Business Council; Jane Kinninmont, CEO of the United Nations Association-UK; and Ramesh Arora, CEO of Signature Hospitality Group. The discussions offered insights into India–UK trade relations, global economic trends and emerging investment opportunities.
Simultaneously, Zee Bharat and Zee UP-Uttarakhand interacted with entrepreneurs from Uttar Pradesh and other regions, highlighting grassroots perspectives on MSME growth and regional enterprise contributions to India’s economic expansion.
