New Delhi: Air India’s flight AI143 from Delhi to Paris was cancelled on Tuesday afternoon after a technical issue was detected during routine pre-flight checks. The airline confirmed that the issue is currently being addressed.
Additionally, the cancellation was influenced by night operation restrictions at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport. As a result, the return flight AI142 from Paris to Delhi, scheduled for the same day, has also been cancelled.
“We regret the inconvenience caused to our passengers and are making alternate arrangements to help them reach their destination as soon as possible,” an Air India spokesperson said. “Hotel accommodation has been arranged, and passengers are being offered either a full refund or complimentary rescheduling.”
In a separate incident, another Air India flight operating from San Francisco to Mumbai via Kolkata was grounded in Kolkata on Tuesday. A technical issue was suspected during a post-landing inspection. All passengers were safely deplaned, and many were accommodated at nearby hotels.
Meanwhile, an IndiGo flight (6E 2706) from Muscat to Delhi, with a scheduled stopover in Kochi, made an emergency landing at Nagpur Airport earlier in the day following a bomb threat. Nagpur Police Deputy Commissioner Lohit Matani confirmed that all passengers were safely evacuated. Preliminary investigations have not uncovered any suspicious materials, though a full inquiry is ongoing.
