Bengaluru: Kumaran School’s Kanakpura Road class 6 student was hospitalised after a class 7 student allegedly assaulted him on the school premises on Thursday.
Expressing shock over the incident, parents of the child took the school authorities to task for their alleged apathy in taking care of the injured boy, who is currently in the ICU of a private hospital. According to the parents, there was considerable delay in alerting them about the incident.
The parents said: “With utmost pain, we are sharing the most shocking and painful incident that occurred in the Kumaran’s school, Kanakapura Road, Bangalore South premises yesterday during school day practice. My son Samarth, studying in 6th grade, was brutally assaulted and violently beaten on the face and stomach multiple times, and my son Samarth studying in 6th grade. Student named Abhiram 7th grade student this boy just randomly picks kids to beat up or abuse or threaten for no reason. My son was so severely beaten on the face and stomach multiple times and my son was also kicked in his private part by a 7th grade student named Abhiram … this boy just randomly picks kids to beat up or abuse or threaten for no reason….my son was so severely beaten that the doctors had to hospitalize him, and he is currently in the ICU suffering from unbearable pain. Not just that, but no first aid was done; there was no comforting him in pain, and worst of all, he was asked to walk all by himself to the reception and was left alone there. The coordinator and the school authorities were very rude and didn’t even bothered to wait for us to come pick up our son. We were shocked at the way the school handled this.
As the matter was discussed by other parents in a WhatsApp group, the Kumaran School authority responded: “When the incident occurred, our team acted swiftly to ensure the safety of all students and addressed the matter in alignment with our school policies. We understand this may have caused concern and that online discussions can sometimes amplify incomplete or exaggerated narratives, leading to misunderstandings and unnecessary tension.”
Our Aryavarth Express Reporter tried to contact Kumaran school management; they directly dinay to talk on this matter, and now mostly all schools’s contact numbers are either not reachable or switched off.
