Agency (New Delhi): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday applauded the state government-run schools for achieving a remarkable pass percentage of 96.99% in the CBSE Class 12 exams, significantly improving from last year’s 91.59%.
Kejriwal, currently on interim bail until June 1 for the Lok Sabha elections campaign, took to social media platform X to congratulate the students, teachers, and parents for their outstanding performance. “Delhi government schools have got a fantastic result of 96.99% in the Class 12 CBSE exam! Not only does this surpass our own performance of last year, but it surpasses the CBSE national average as well…Congratulations to all students, teachers, parents and the entire Education Dept for this spectacular performance,” he wrote.
The Chief Minister highlighted the improvement from the previous year’s pass percentage of 91.59% and noted that the current performance surpasses the national average of 87.98%. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the board exam results for classes 10 and 12 on Monday, revealing that girls continued to outperform boys, with slight increases in the pass percentage and the number of students scoring above 90% and 95%.
Kejriwal’s commendation reflects the Delhi government’s commitment to improving educational standards in state-run schools and their success in achieving higher academic results.
