Agency (New Delhi): With the Lok Sabha elections on the horizon, Rahul Gandhi, a prominent figure in the Congress party, expressed optimism about the INDIA bloc’s prospects in forming the government by June 4. He assured the public that if elected, his party would kickstart the recruitment process for 30 lakh vacant government positions by August 15. Gandhi’s message to the youth resonated with a call to focus on job opportunities rather than succumbing to divisive sentiments. He cautioned against falling prey to what he termed as Narendra Modi’s misleading propaganda and urged citizens to stay committed to addressing pertinent issues.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Gandhi addressed the nation’s youth, highlighting the imminent formation of the INDIA government and the commitment to initiating the recruitment process swiftly. He warned against the distractions that Prime Minister Modi might deploy in the final days leading up to the elections, accusing him of attempting to divert attention from genuine concerns. Gandhi cited Modi’s unfulfilled promise of generating 2 crore jobs, attributing the shortfall to flawed policies such as the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and demonetization.
The Congress party, in its manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls, has explicitly pledged to address the issue of unemployment by filling approximately 30 lakh government vacancies. The manifesto also outlines plans to collaborate with state governments to ensure timely recruitment for vacancies in panchayats and municipal bodies. As the Lok Sabha election unfolds across seven phases until June 1, all eyes are set on the outcome, which will be determined by the vote count on June 4. (ANI)
