Aryavarth (Bengaluru): Today, Anon, a groundbreaking developer platform that facilitates secure AI-driven interactions across the internet, announced it has raised $6.5 million. This funding round was led by Union Square Ventures and Abstract Ventures, with additional early-stage contributions from Impatient Ventures and ex/ante.
Anon aims to serve as the “Integration Platform for the Internet,” creating a bridge between AI applications and user accounts across various online services. This platform addresses a significant challenge in the AI sector: the authentication bottleneck that restricts AI applications from performing actions like sending messages, booking travel, or managing finances on behalf of users.
“We envision Anon as pivotal infrastructure that, while not involving AI directly, unlocks substantial value for our customers,” said Daniel Mason, Co-Founder & CEO of Anon. The platform’s toolkit allows developers to create specialized virtual assistants capable of performing discrete tasks, effectively transforming how digital interactions are managed.
The investment will accelerate Anon’s development of a robust identity layer that enables AI agents to authenticate and operate seamlessly over the internet. This capability is expected to revolutionize user interaction with technology by reducing friction and enhancing the automation of everyday tasks.
Anon has already partnered with AI leaders such as MultiOn, Delphi, and Personal.ai, and plans to expand its services to support a wide range of internet-based interactions for CRM systems, sales teams, and personal assistant apps. These applications include recording LinkedIn messages, aggregating orders via WhatsApp, and making purchases or reservations on platforms like Amazon, Uber, and OpenTable.
Nick Grossman, General Partner at Union Square Ventures, highlighted the transformative potential of AI agents and bots, “Anon is building the identity layer necessary to make this vision a reality, enabling developers to create AI applications that can seamlessly take action on behalf of users across the internet.”
As Anon steps out of stealth mode, it invites developers at all levels to explore its capabilities through new developer documentation and to participate in what could be a significant shift in digital interaction.
Founded by Daniel Mason and Kai Aichholz, Anon is poised to redefine how AI and user accounts interact across the digital landscape. For more information, visit [anon.com](http://anon.com).
