New Delhi (Agency): The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, honored the memory of Dadi Prakashmani, the former chief of Brahma Kumaris, by releasing a special postage stamp at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre. The stamp was issued under the ‘My Stamp’ initiative of the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, to commemorate Dadi Prakashmani’s 16th death anniversary.
Dadi Prakashmani was renowned for her spiritual leadership and her efforts in spreading Indian values and culture both within the country and abroad. Under her guidance, Brahma Kumaris grew to become the largest women-led spiritual organization globally. Her leadership was marked by faith, courage, and guidance, especially during challenging times.
During the event, President Murmu emphasized the transient nature of life and the enduring impact of noble deeds committed for public welfare. She reflected that Dadi Prakashmani’s spiritual and genial personality, as well as her message of human welfare, would continue to inspire generations even though she is no longer physically present.
The President also took the opportunity to celebrate the recent success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission. She expressed pride in India’s achievement as the first country to reach the South Pole of the Moon and expressed confidence that the mission would reveal new information benefiting the entire world.
The release of the postage stamp serves as a tribute to Dadi Prakashmani’s contributions to spirituality and human welfare. It recognizes her as a symbol of Indian cultural values and acknowledges her role in empowering women in spiritual leadership. Her legacy continues to be a source of inspiration and guidance for many.
