In a shocking incident, a seven-year-old girl was assaulted by a school peon in a private school in Jodhpur, police have confirmed. The accused, identified as Ashok Meghwal, aged 23, has since been arrested.
The mother of the victim reports that the girl was just six-years-old when the horrific crime started. Meghwal, who hails from Sawla Kala, allegedly threatened the young victim with the murder of her family members if she revealed her traumatic experience to anyone.
Nishant Bhardwaj, ADCP, stated that Meghwal was taken into custody on Sunday and has since been jailed. He had been employed at the GK International School for about ten months.
The horrifying crime came to light when the girl’s mother noticed blood stains on her clothes while bathing her. The mother informed the police that the accused would take her daughter to the washroom, expose her to indecent material on his phone, and assaulted her three times over the course of a year.
“My daughter was only six-years-old in class 1 at the time of the incident. He would take her to the washroom, close the door and talk dirty. He used to hit her on the leg with a stick threatening that if she told anyone, he would kill her family members and would get her expelled from the school,” the mother described.
The mother also added that she noticed marks on her daughter’s leg multiple times. However, the girl, gripped by fear, would always claim that she had hurt herself while playing.
The girl’s father and uncle are calling for the severest punishment for Meghwal. The horrific attack was confirmed in a medical report that verified the minor had been assaulted.
This shocking incident brings into focus the safety of children in educational institutions and underscores the urgent need for stricter regulations and security measures to protect the young students.
