Patna (Bihar) [India], December 15: Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Monday welcomed the appointment of Nitin Nabin as the Bharatiya Janata Party’s new National Working President, describing him as the youngest leader to hold the post so far and calling the decision a positive development for the party.
Speaking to the media, Giriraj Singh said Nitin Nabin has been closely associated with politics for a long time and has worked extensively for the organisation. He noted that party workers and people in Bihar have warmly welcomed the decision.
“We are fortunate that Nitin Nabin has become our National Working President. He is the youngest to hold this responsibility so far,” the Union Minister said. He added that the people and BJP workers of Bihar have expressed gratitude to the party’s central leadership for placing trust in a young leader from the state who has remained active in national politics and previously served as a state in-charge.
Singh further expressed confidence that Nitin Nabin would emerge as a leader who represents everyone and strengthens unity within the party.
Nitin Nabin, 45, was elected as the BJP National Working President by the party’s parliamentary board on Sunday and is scheduled to assume charge during his visit to Delhi today. The son of senior BJP leader Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha, he has earlier served as Bihar’s Road Construction Minister and currently represents the Bankipur constituency in the Bihar Legislative Assembly.
Bihar BJP President and Minister Dilip Jaiswal also welcomed the appointment, saying it sends a strong message to the youth across the country. He noted that the selection of a 45-year-old leader to such a key national post reflects the BJP’s commitment to encouraging young leadership.
Nitin Nabin is expected to formally take charge as National Working President in Delhi following his appointment.
