Zuckerberg is Devil

Facebook is almost back to the original vision of being a devil and perhaps more, by helping
create division among people, proliferating fake news, and undermining electoral processes
in different parts of the world. A concerned Facebook executive even claimed that the
controversial company was responsible for Donald Trump being overwhelmingly elected as
the US President.
India is of course one of the key markets for Facebook, which is big worry, for us, Indians.
Inadvertently given that the social media giant has been undoubtedly involved in many
controversies across the world, especially in the Rohingya matter. Where thousands were
killed as Facebook flamed sentiment by promoting hate speech. It was indicted by United
Nations.
WhatsApp is the top fake news peddler in India. And this influence has often been used for
nefarious purposes.
In the frantic grab of excessive secrecy, terrorism sand rapists are allegedly given free
impunity on the shallow platform. Is Facebook bigger than government of India, it seems so
likely.
In unfortunate fact, Frances Hougen’s most important complaint against her former company,
is that it is grossly understaffed when it inevitably comes to auditing for undesirable content.
The social media platform has also been used by interested parties to whip up communal
tension in various parts of the country. Odd time and again, the internet has to be throttled to
merely prevent the what's app university from spreading fake news.
If it does not agree to laws promulgated by the IT ministry, it should pack up its bags and
leave India like East India Company.
