The Aryavarth Express Mumbai (Maharashtra), March 3: Celebrities across India took to social media to extend warm wishes to fans as the country celebrates Holi, the festival of colours.
Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a vibrant Holi message on Instagram, posting a colourful greeting with the words “Happy Holi” against a bright festive backdrop.
Cricketer Virat Kohli also conveyed his wishes through an Instagram story, writing, “Happy Holi. May this festival of colours bring success, happiness, and positivity to your life.”
Actor Bobby Deol joined in by sharing festive greetings with his followers online.
Meanwhile, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar added a playful sporting touch to his Holi message on X. “Happy Holi! Hope this day brings positivity, good health, and lots of happy moments your way. If you end up completely drenched, consider it a winning performance,” he wrote.
Holi, which marks the arrival of spring and the harvest season, is rooted in Hindu mythology and symbolises the triumph of good over evil. The festival traditionally begins with Holika Dahan, a ritual bonfire, followed by celebrations where people gather to play with colours and share festive joy.
This year, Holi celebrations are being observed on two separate days. While several states in Western India, including Mumbai and Gujarat, began festivities on Tuesday, March 3, many parts of North India are set to mark the main celebrations on Wednesday, March 4.
