Gandhinagar: As India accelerates its march toward becoming a global manufacturing hub under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Gujarat government—led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel—has announced the second edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for the Kutch and Saurashtra region. The event will take place on January 8–9, 2026, in Rajkot, according to an official release.
Complementing the conference, the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition (VGRE) will be held at the same venue from January 8 to 11, offering an expanded platform for industries, MSMEs, start-ups, government agencies, and entrepreneurs across the region.
According to the Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the Vibrant Gujarat initiative has helped numerous homegrown enterprises grow and compete globally. Rajkot—traditionally known for its strong automotive industry—is emerging as a rising centre for aerospace and space technology. Among the companies leading this transformation is Shreeram Aerospace and Defence LLP, which the state government highlighted as a prime example of New India’s industrial ambition.
The company’s Managing Director, Sandip Vallabh Satani, said the organisation began its journey in 2017 and has since been contributing to India’s aerospace aspirations under the guidance of his father, Vallabhbhai Satani. Built on a foundation of engineering expertise, Shreeram Aerospace has today established one of Gujarat’s most advanced precision engineering ecosystems, equipped with modern machinery and a 24×7 power-backed assembly facility.
With these capabilities, the company now supplies critical aerospace components to major global and national players including Airbus, Boeing, Rolls-Royce, Dassault Aviation, ISRO, and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. Satani said the company has mastered ultra-precision machining, complex aerospace tooling, high-strength alloy fabrication, and intricate assemblies. It has also developed India’s first 6-micron RMS Terahertz Antenna and Navigation Antenna for SAC–ISRO.
To date, the firm has delivered more than 3,000 aerospace tools, including 8-metre wing fixtures, INVAR composite layup tools, stretch-forming dies, reflector panels, and more. Notably, it supplied the left and right wing box assembly jigs for the Tata-Airbus C295 aircraft—each 11.5 metres long, weighing 25 tonnes, and comprising more than 15,000 components.
Satani added that the company continues to draw inspiration from the Prime Minister’s belief that “every challenge presents an opportunity,” which has driven them to build multi-axis ultra-precision machining infrastructure, adopt global quality systems such as AS9100D, and develop an integrated fabrication-to-inspection ecosystem supported by highly skilled manpower.
The Gujarat government noted that Rajkot’s engineering strength is powering innovation and reinforcing the state’s role as a leader in India’s manufacturing expansion. With local talent and advanced technology, the city is helping propel India toward its global industrial aspirations.
