Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh): Reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s growing stature as a major electronics manufacturing hub, the Bharat Electronics Yatra—a nationwide industry and buyer outreach initiative—was flagged off on Monday by Sunil Kumar Sharma, Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The initiative has been envisioned by electronica India and productronica India and is being organised by Messe Muenchen India.

The flag-off highlighted the state government’s commitment to strengthening electronics manufacturing, supply chains, and regional industry participation through progressive policies, robust industrial infrastructure, development of electronics manufacturing clusters, and focused efforts to attract investments across the value chain.

Uttar Pradesh will serve as the Host State for the April 2026 edition of electronica India and productronica India, scheduled to be held at India Expo Mart Limited (IEML), Greater Noida, from April 8 to 10, 2026. The upcoming edition is planned on an expanded scale and has already received strong industry response, with over 300 exhibitors confirmed.

The Bharat Electronics Yatra has been designed as a structured buyer-connect and industry outreach programme aimed at engaging OEMs, EMS companies, system integrators, and key electronics buyer clusters across the country. The initiative seeks to strengthen demand-supply linkages and enhance the business relevance of the 2026 editions of electronica India and productronica India.

The North India phase of the Yatra begins with Uttar Pradesh and the Delhi-NCR region, followed by subsequent phases across Western and Southern India through 2026. The nationwide initiative will culminate at the Bengaluru edition in September 2026.

Addressing the occasion, Sunil Kumar Sharma said, “Uttar Pradesh is committed to building a strong and future-ready electronics manufacturing ecosystem. Platforms that bring together government, industry, and market demand play a critical role in accelerating investments and strengthening regional manufacturing capabilities. Our support to the Bharat Electronics Yatra reflects the state’s focus on positioning Uttar Pradesh as a leading electronics manufacturing destination.”

Bhupinder Singh, President IMEA, Messe Muenchen, and CEO, Messe Muenchen India, said electronica India and productronica India have evolved into platforms that mirror India’s electronics growth story. “The Bharat Electronics Yatra enables direct engagement with regional buyers and manufacturers, ensuring that the 2026 editions are aligned with on-ground demand, policy priorities, and industry expectations,” he said.

Rajoo Goel, Secretary General of ELCINA, noted that India’s electronics manufacturing growth is increasingly being driven by regional clusters beyond traditional hubs. He said the Yatra would strengthen buyer-supplier linkages, support domestic component manufacturing, and encourage deeper participation across the electronics value chain.

Rajesh Sharma, Executive Director and Principal Advisor, India Cellular & Electronics Association, said the initiative represents a decisive step in nation-building. “For Uttar Pradesh, it is transformative—building industrial strength, expanding opportunities, and positioning the state as a cornerstone of India’s electronics value chain and future-ready economy,” he said.

The Bharat Electronics Yatra is supported by key industry partners, including Panasonic and Maxim, who will contribute to enhanced buyer-supplier engagement and technology-focused discussions across regions.

With strong backing from the Uttar Pradesh government, endorsement from leading industry associations, and robust exhibitor participation, electronica India and productronica India 2026 are being positioned as strategic platforms advancing India’s electronics manufacturing roadmap. Industry stakeholders are invited to engage through the Bharat Electronics Yatra and participate in the flagship event at IEML, Greater Noida, in April 2026.
