The Aryavarth Express
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): The Uttar Pradesh Board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 began across the state on Tuesday, with more than 53 lakh students appearing at over 8,000 centres.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Secondary Education Gulab Devi visited several examination centres, distributed sweets to students, and offered her blessings. She also inaugurated the state-level control room at the Director of Education (Secondary) camp office in Lucknow, emphasising the government’s commitment to a transparent, technology-driven examination process.

In Prayagraj, District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma underscored the extensive monitoring measures in place. He said around 1.95 lakh students are appearing for the exams in the district at 333 centres, all of which are under CCTV surveillance. Meetings have been conducted with police officials and school heads to ensure smooth and fair conduct.

Verma reiterated that the Chief Minister has issued strict directives to prevent malpractice. He warned that any involvement in unfair practices would invite stringent action, adding that school authorities bear significant responsibility in maintaining a proper examination environment.
