Chennai (Tamil Nadu) / Pune (Maharashtra) [India], November 6: In a pioneering step for India’s water and beverage sustainability sectors, AeroNero Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a global leader in Atmospheric Water Generation (AWG) technology, has joined hands with OI Brewing Co. to unveil AQUAIR — the nation’s first bottled water brand produced entirely from air.
This launch marks a significant milestone for the bottled water industry by offering a renewable, zero-extraction source of drinking water. The first production facility in Pune will generate 10,000 liters per day, serving both retail consumers and beverage manufacturers.
Under the collaboration, AeroNero will deploy and manage its cutting-edge AWG systems, while OI Brewing Co. will handle bottling, branding, and distribution. AQUAIR will be positioned as a premium, sustainable water brand that embodies innovation and environmental responsibility.
The AWG technology captures humidity from the air, condenses it into water, and purifies it through a multi-stage filtration and mineralization process, delivering lab-certified, naturally pure drinking water.
Dr. Durga Das, CEO & Founder of AeroNero Solutions, stated:
“AQUAIR represents a future where water can be created without depleting natural resources. We are literally producing hope from thin air. This partnership sets a new benchmark for sustainable hydration in India and beyond.”
Aman Talreja of OI Brewing Co. added:
“AQUAIR is not just a product — it’s a reinvention of how water can be sourced responsibly. Together with AeroNero, we’re shaping a new era for bottled water, where purity and planet-first thinking go hand in hand.”
Dr. Subash Cipy, Founder of OI Brewing Co., emphasized:
“Atmospheric water generation is the next big leap in beverage sustainability. AQUAIR demonstrates that scale and sustainability can truly coexist while addressing global water scarcity.”
Ketaki Sehgal, Head of Hospitality at AeroNero Solutions, remarked:
“We’re thrilled to partner with OI Brewing Company, a brand deeply rooted in sustainability and carbon neutrality. Their philosophy perfectly aligns with AeroNero’s mission to build a cleaner, greener tomorrow.”
From a global perspective, Ravi Karkara, Co-Founder of the Global Air Water Generation Initiative, noted:
“Air Water Generation is more than a technological advancement — it’s a transformative movement to democratize clean water access while reshaping the bottled water industry into one that’s sustainable, localized, and climate-resilient. We’re not just bottling water; we’re bottling hope for a water-secure future.”
With plans to expand across major Indian metros, AQUAIR supports India’s Mission LiFE and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — advancing a regenerative, resource-conscious approach to water access and consumption.
