Washington: Donald Trump has praised conservative commentator Mark Levin in a post on his social media platform Truth Social, calling him a “great American patriot” while defending him against critics.
In a lengthy message, Trump expressed strong support for Levin, suggesting that the television host has been unfairly targeted by individuals he described as having less “intellect” and “capability.” Trump said Levin is “tough, strong and brilliant,” and referred to his popular nickname “The Great One,” which he said was coined by Sean Hannity after years of interacting with Levin in legal and media circles.
Levin is a prominent conservative voice in the United States and hosts the Fox News programme Life, Liberty & Levin. He has also written several books focusing on politics and constitutional issues and is widely known for supporting conservative causes.
Trump also highlighted Levin’s background, claiming that the commentator had not initially planned a career in television or radio but was encouraged by others who believed his ideas should reach a broader audience. According to Trump, Levin’s views and intellect have made him stand out among political commentators.
In the post, Trump argued that criticism directed at Levin is driven by jealousy and anger from his detractors. He added that those attacking Levin have less influence than many people believe and suggested their criticism would eventually fade.
Trump further used the message to reiterate his broader political agenda associated with the “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) movement, linking it to national security concerns. He emphasized preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and praised the strength of the U.S. military.
Trump’s comments come as Levin continues to be a significant figure in conservative media, frequently discussing American politics, constitutional matters and foreign policy.
