Srinagar – In a major anti-terror operation, security forces neutralized three terrorists during a fierce encounter in the Harwan area near Dachigam National Park on the outskirts of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army reported on Monday.
Dubbed Operation Mahadev, the mission is being conducted in the Lidwas area by the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army. The operation began after contact was established with the militants.
“OP MAHADEV – Contact established in General Area Lidwas. Operation in progress,” the Chinar Corps posted earlier on X (formerly Twitter).
The operation is ongoing, with security forces maintaining a high alert in the region.
