Filmmaker Milap Zaveri shared a warm and emotional birthday message for actor John Abraham, thanking him for playing a pivotal role in reviving his career.
Taking to Instagram, Zaveri posted a picture with the actor and wrote, “Dear @thejohnabraham, wish you a very, very happy birthday! You are my Hulk and the man who resurrected me with Satyameva Jayate. I will forever be grateful to you!”
Adding a playful note, the director praised John’s off-screen persona, saying, “You rip tyres with your bare hands but your heart is of gold! Love you, my hero.”
Milap Zaveri and John Abraham have collaborated on the Satyameva Jayate franchise, with the first film releasing in 2018 and its sequel hitting theatres in 2021. Satyameva Jayate 2 was produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series, along with Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani of Emmay Entertainment, and also featured Divya Khosla Kumar.
On the professional front, John Abraham had back-to-back releases in 2025 with The Diplomat and Tehran. Directed by Arun Gopalan, Tehran revolves around an Indian man caught in a high-stakes mission after being hunted by Iran and abandoned by both Israel and India. The film, inspired by true events, also stars Manushi Chhillar, Neeru Bajwa and Madhurina Tuli, and is set against the backdrop of rising tensions between Israel and Iran.
Meanwhile, John Abraham’s production venture Oslo: A Tale of Promise recently premiered at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The documentary, which narrates a touching bond between a girl and her husky, had its world premiere in the Indian Panorama section at IFFI 2025.
