The Aryavarth Express:
New Delhi, April 9: Actor Tamannaah Bhatia has opened up about the challenges faced by women in the film industry, noting that meaningful opportunities for female actors remain relatively rare.
In a recent interaction, Tamannaah expressed excitement about her upcoming projects, calling this phase of her career both refreshing and rewarding. “Not many actors—and especially female actors—get such opportunities,” she said, adding that even after more than two decades in the industry, she still feels like she is starting anew.
The actor also reflected on the strong acceptance she has received from audiences, particularly in the South Indian film industry, which she credited as a key factor in her sustained success. She noted that the growing appreciation from audiences across the rest of India has been both “exciting” and “humbling,” motivating her to continue evolving as a performer.
Tamannaah was in the national capital to attend the launch of ‘Oristar,’ a new brand by Jayanta Lighting Innovation, where she has been named brand ambassador. The event was also attended by Jayanta Group director Manish Gupta and actor Rohit Roy.
On the work front, Tamannaah will next be seen in the upcoming film Vvan, directed by Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, and produced by Ekta Kapoor. The film also stars Sidharth Malhotra and is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 28, coinciding with the festival of Raksha Bandhan.
