New Delhi [India]: As CBSE, ICSE, and state board exams approach, students across India welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advice on stress management and study techniques during the 9th edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ held on Friday.
Tanu Aditya, a Class 10 student from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Gwalior, said the annual programme offered clear guidance for students. She noted that PM Modi encouraged students to treat exams as a “festival” rather than a source of stress. “Exams are only for testing knowledge, and we shouldn’t get anxious. Helping friends and seeking help when needed ensures that everyone can appear for exams confidently,” she said.
Class 11 student Rishad Saliah highlighted the Prime Minister’s focus on balancing marks and skills. “Today, people often focus only on marks, neglecting practical skills, which leads to unemployment. PM Modi’s message about valuing both marks and skills was very important,” he said.
Students from other regions also expressed appreciation. Nobonita Ghosh from Tripura said, “I felt very happy watching the programme alongside Tripura CM Manik Saha. It was a great experience.”
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan praised PM Modi for boosting student confidence with small, practical tips. “He encourages students to share their ideas and focuses on holistic development. Students eagerly await ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ every year as it provides guidance ahead of exams,” he said.
Union Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary added that the participating students were curious and enthusiastic. “The Prime Minister’s unique way of expression was evident today, and students were eager to learn from him,” he said.
The 2026 edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ focused on helping students stay stress-free during exams while emphasizing the importance of learning. PM Modi interacted with select “exam warriors” at his official residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi.
Earlier, PM Modi shared a post on X, saying: “Do watch #ParikshaPeCharcha26. This year’s edition covers interesting topics related to examinations, including the need to remain stress-free and focus on learning. I always enjoy this platform as it allows me to interact with bright minds from across the country.”
Interactive sessions were also held with students in Devmogra (Gujarat), Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Raipur (Chhattisgarh), and Guwahati (Assam), expanding the reach of the programme nationwide.
