Agency (Rajasthan): On Thursday, the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur reported that the heat conditions in Rajasthan have intensified, with Ganganagar recording the highest temperature at 46.3 degrees Celsius.

According to the weather department, most parts of the state are experiencing severe heat. Barmer registered a temperature of 46.0 degrees Celsius, Jaisalmer 45.5 degrees, and Banasthali (Tonk), Pilani (Jhunjhunu), and Jalore each recorded 45.3 degrees. Jodhpur and Sangaria (Hanumangarh) saw temperatures of 44.6 degrees Celsius, Dholpur 44.5 degrees, Kota 44.2 degrees, and Jaipur 44.1 degrees.

Heatwaves were particularly intense in parts of Jodhpur and the Bikaner division on Thursday. The Meteorological Centre predicted that the heatwave would intensify further in these areas and the Shekhawati region starting from May 17.
