Crime.

New Delhi (Agency):The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Navi Mumbai has made headlines after arresting three individuals from Bangladesh who were residing unlawfully in India. The incident took place on Thursday in the township of Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, and has raised significant security concerns.

Acting on a tip-off, the ATS officials launched a raid at a residence in the Kharghar area of Navi Mumbai. The three individuals were caught at the premises in Ovegaon. The law enforcement official from the Kharghar police station reported that the arrested persons failed to produce valid documents authorizing their travel to and stay in India.

The police found that these individuals were working locally to support their livelihood. Two out of the three had migrated to India with their parents around 30 years ago and had been living in the country ever since, according to the information in the First Information Report (FIR).

The arrested persons have been identified as Kamal Ahmed Khan (36), Alim Yunus Shaikh (40), and Badal Moinuddin Khan (38). Legal action has been initiated against them. The authorities registered a case under the Passport (Entry Into India) Rules, 1950 and the Foreigners Act, 1946.

This incident underscores the challenges faced by Indian law enforcement in maintaining security and law order, and it brings to the forefront the issue of illegal immigration in the country. It’s a reminder of the relentless efforts made by the ATS and other law enforcement agencies to ensure the nation’s safety and security.
