J-K Congress Criticizes PM Modi Over Deteriorating Security Situation

Jammu and Kashmir Congress leader Raman Bhalla accuses Prime Minister Narendra Modi of celebrating G20 success while security issues worsen in the region.

Jammu and Kashmir Congress working president Raman Bhalla took a strong stand against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, criticizing him for celebrating the G20 Summit while the region faces worsening security issues. Bhalla pointed out the recent loss of security personnel and called for immediate action to enhance safety measures.

Just a day before, a Colonel, a Major, and a Deputy Superintendent of Police lost their lives in a violent face-off with terrorists in the Kokernag area of Anantnag district. Commenting on this, Bhalla said, “The way the prime minister was being cheered and showered with flowers over G20 at a time the last rites (of the security forces personnel) were being conducted, it is shameful.”

Bhalla expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased army and police officers. He also talked about the high morale among the Indian soldiers and the local people, stating, “Shoulder to shoulder, we are prepared to offer them moral support. Their spirits are high and we believe that those responsible for this incident should be dealt with thoroughly so that there is no room for terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.”

He strongly questioned the government’s claims of improved security in the region. “The government’s claims have been proven hollow,” he noted. Bhalla emphasized that the ongoing terror incidents are clear evidence that the law and order situation is deteriorating.

Ending his remarks, Bhalla urged the government to take decisive action against those behind these violent acts. “The government here should take firm steps so that those behind this act are brought to justice as soon as possible,” he concluded.

Bhalla’s comments come at a time of heightened tensions in Jammu and Kashmir, a region that has long been a focal point for security concerns. His critique of the prime minister adds another layer to the ongoing debate about whether enough is being done to address the various challenges faced by the region.
