Agency(Patna, Bihar): In an extraordinary turn of events, Ramwati Devi, an elderly woman from Begusarai, Bihar, who was declared dead in Chhattisgarh, miraculously regained consciousness on her way back to her native place. The incident has left both her family and locals astonished.
Ramwati Devi, who had traveled to Chhattisgarh with her sons Murari Shao and Ghanshyam Shao, experienced breathing difficulties on February 11 and was admitted to a private hospital in Korva district. Despite treatment efforts, she was declared dead by the doctors there.
Her sons, intending to perform her last rites in their hometown, embarked on a journey to Begusarai on February 12. After traveling for over 18 hours, as they entered Bihar’s Aurangabad, Ramwati suddenly came back to life, much to the shock and fear of her family. They promptly stopped the vehicle and, gathering their courage, confirmed she was alive.
The family immediately took Ramwati to the Begusarai Sadar Hospital, where she was placed on a ventilator. Medical professionals speculate that the jerking motion of the vehicle during the long journey might have acted as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), which led to her regaining consciousness. CPR is a critical emergency technique used in situations where breathing or heartbeat has stopped.
Ramwati Devi is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is reported to be recovering. This unusual incident has drawn considerable attention, highlighting the unpredictability of medical emergencies and the importance of thorough medical examination and care.
