New Delhi: SpiceJet has issued a travel advisory amid adverse weather conditions in the national capital, warning that flight schedules may be impacted.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the airline stated, “Due to bad weather in Delhi (DEL), all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights may be affected. Passengers are requested to keep a check on their flight status.”
Meanwhile, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa assured that the government is fully prepared to manage the rising water levels of the Yamuna River following continuous heavy rainfall. “We are closely monitoring the situation. The water level is rising, but everything is under control,” he said while speaking.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) also issued an advisory, informing commuters that the approach road to Yamuna Bank Metro Station is currently inaccessible due to high water levels. However, the station remains operational, and interchange services are available. Passengers have been urged to plan their journeys accordingly and consider alternate routes.
As of 10 a.m. on Thursday, the Yamuna’s water level at the Old Railway Bridge stood at 207.47 meters, remaining unchanged since 8 a.m.
